We have some great memories from our last night in Corsica.  We got to spend some time with Philippe and Robert (but unfortunately got ditched by Daniel), were given an amazing and thoughtful present from Louise (Philippe’s daughter), and laughed it up with Flavien and his family.  Though excited to visit our friend Ali in London, we were sad to leave our island paradise and all our friends, new and old.  We stayed up late chatting with Flavien’s charming family, in spite of our need to depart at 5:30 the next morning.  Because of this, and our lack of confidence in our awakening abilities, we made the executive decision to pull an all-nighter.

After driving to Ajaccio, we had some time to seek pastry sustenance and take some pictures.  Unfortunately we missed the beauteous view of the Corsican coastline as we sailed away on the ferry, due to our being passed out on the couches on board.  Several fellow passengers attempted to infringe upon our sleeping territory, but we were able to repel them with our Americanness.  Our personal space bubbles are large, and protected by our constitution.  We sincerely hope that it will not be long before we return to Corsica, though we also hope that when we do, it will not be by ferry.

In Nice, we drove straight to the airport to turn in our loyal vehicle, which Jennica legally owned for 25 days.  From there we headed to our hotel room, which we reserved ahead of time in all of our responsible wisdom and travel expertise.  We gallivanted around Nice one last time before heading off to London in the morning, wondering if there would be any British people left when we got there, considering they appeared to have invaded Nice.
