3 LAY DAYS IN LA

Drove into LA and the usual smog hangs over it, the locals call it mist,the freeways are bumper to bumper at 120kph then come to a slow down travel 1km in 15 mins then 120kph bumper to bumper 8 lanes wide again.Arrive at the Tropicanna about 9pm,sat out the front of our unit having a drink and speaking to everyon e who walked past,we are opposite Disneyland,a couple of girls one from Aust stop pull up a glass and we sat talked and drank til about midnight,good fun.

Up next day and Dara a ripper bloke Greg and Jackie know comes around and takes the girls to the shops,you know the drill by now tee shirt with LA on  it,and Greg is out for the day so he takes me to golf.We arrive at a course where the worst car is a benz clk coupe,must be the cleaners. Into pro shop we want clubs,buggy,golf and some golfballs,start filling out the paperwork and she says $330 each , I explain we only want to hire the clubs not buy them so we leave jn our Toyota Prius,surprised we could park it there, and head to a new course. This one is in Fullerton golf,buggy,clubs and 12 golfballs $115 all up, now you are talking. Its about 40deg but the course is great apart from the rough which has stingers poison ivy and rattlesnakes so we finished with less balls than we started cause I wasnt going looking for them.Good day and Dara drove back and picked the girls up they were knackered from 6 hrs shopping but still not done. Greg got back about 8 and we went to Mimmies for tea. Great tucker so we head home for an early night. Well we thought early until we had a few drinks sitting out front again and Dara was talking about living in LA so another midnight  to bed. Up early cause the dumb senorita wakens us to start cleaning the room at 8.30,we ask here to vammoos and come back later.

Today the girls do a bit of shopping (still got petrol in the tank) and Greg and I hang out at the hotel.We have a krispy kringle donougt dinner and sit out the front again drinking and talking to the tourists.Another late night and of to bed for our final sleep.Up early to pack and prepare for the long flight.The girls have one last shop and of to the airport.

A long wait at the airport a long flight and we are home.

A great holiday with sights and memories only we can visualize but thanks for sharing it with us and I hope you all enjoyed it.
