A long owed update. We made it to Melissa's parents’ place on the 17th but their computer was not working. After two trips in to Winnipeg, and hours of Josh's time, they have a new computer that we can use to update the blog.

We had a nice visit in Winnipeg. It was too short to see everyone but long enough to remember why we left Winnipeg (the mosquitoes are really, really bad). We stayed at the Viscount Gort, one of the older hotels in Winnipeg known for wedding receptions, Murder on the Menu, and droves of seniors on Saturday for prime rib dinners. We would have liked to stayed somewhere else but all the hotels were full; the weekend of June 15th being the most popular wedding weekend (we celebrated our 11th on the 15th), as well as the Manitoba Marathon.

After some late evenings with friends, we piled all the animals in the van and headed out to Melissa's parents' home for a much needed rest from hotels and driving. We are staying at Hillside until July 1st. We'll be back on the road and hoping to connect up with more friends in the east.
