'Taxi crime in Mexico City is very REAL' reads the lonely planet....and Frommer's.....always what one wants to read!!

However, braved it this far, it's just another mega city with a mere 19.2 m residents...

Despite my hardened shell to taxi crime etc I shelled the newly extortionate prices of $9 for a cab to the Airport.. Checked all my bags in and headed to the Pyramids.

The sights you see in Latin America all seem to hold their own whether pyramids among the desert and the Calle des muertes or the jungle city f tikal or the mountain palace of Macchu Picchu. They all impress and go beyond what one has seen before. I took the Havianas for one more adventure and walked the high stairways to the Pyramid of the sun and moon, walked the bloodsoaked avenue of the dead and marveled at the magnificent architectural landscape created here at Teotihuacán.

I indulged in some essential souvenir purchases to make my flying visit more mexican...this came in the shape of the biggest Sombrero one has ever laid eyes upon!Went down a storm on the metro and airport I guarantee not to mention G.Bush Airport Texas, American girls loved it!!Think you would just get beaten up the UK.

Now fully inconspicuous and fitting in as a local with my head gear I embarked upon a city tour. Incredibly beautiful town truly amazing. Many impressive sites in the parks, massive structures colonial palaces and the famous Cathedral, many a familiar site from man on fire. Thoroughly enjoyed it sure everyone enjoyed seeing me too...bloody tourist..

Sadly I'll have to save visiting MExico City for another day and give it real justice. Got back to the airport meet Colin and get so me sleep before our 4:30 check in...sadly after finding much to do in the airport while wearing my sombrero we just played cards and got no sleep..just what you need to face the party life of La Jolla San Diego.
