One of the interesting anomalies of age difference is the time at which one wakes up. On the second day of our trip Ann woke promptly at 3 AM; this may have less to do with age and more to do with the fact that she is taking those diet pills (read: speed). Sue was the next one up at 6:45 AM. While Christie and I probably could have slept a bit longer but with mom buzzing around and Sue making her move there was little chance of that happening. This prompted me to comment that nothing good happens before 7 AM,recalling a statement I made to Bobby weeks earlier regarding a tee time he made for 7:15 AM. We finally got packed up and out of the hotel. Christie and I assumed we would head for the road; of course we were wrong . Sue informed us that we needed to go by and

get a picture of Bear Bryant Stadium. We punched it into Garmin and soon we were looking at the dull gray cement bleachers contrasting with the bright blue morning sky. Of course being the tourists we are we proceeded to park directly in the middle of the road to take a picture using my body as a sort of map scale causing me to wonder if being a human ruler is a compliment. Several pictures later we were on the road again.
