Another day trip out of Zagreb and up north to Ludbreg.

Ludbreg is a small town located about 80kms north of Zagreb towards the Hungarian border. Its famous for being the "centre of the world".

The Centre of the World - according to ancient legend, it was in Ludbreg that the circles of the Earth were thought up and drawn. All the larger European metropolises are found on the circumferences of the circles, and it is in Ludbreg that the four elements - earth, water, fire and air - meet. As an added 'bonus ' , the people of Ludbreg, being excellent grape-growers, offer another feature - the sparkling wine of Ludbreg...
