Today we took an excursion to a Ranch east of Bariloche through a company that provides transportation which can be accessed I would assume through any of the numerous companies that service the downtown Bariloche area.  The particular ranch called Cabalgara Fortin Chacabuco was very beautiful.  It is nestled in the Patagonian countryside amongst such beautiful surroundings that you quite literally takes your breath away.  The price was $130 (42.50 USD)pesos including transport, 2 hour horse ride and asada (grilled meat) lunch complete with potatoes, salad, and vino ¨tinto¨.

The horses were a little hesitant to accept any orders from the rider, but with persistance and (a little coaxing with a stick the gaucho handed me at the start), you could really set off at a decent cantar across the wide expanse of field if you wanted to apart from the trail riding.  Wearing a bandanda across your face was a great plus to avoid breathing the dust FYI!
