When we left Tegucigalpa, we had hoped to get to Gracias Lempira in one day, but we ended up arriving in La Esperanza in the afternoon & found out there were no buses up to Gracias. We stayed one night there & caught the 0900 minibus the following day (December 1st !).

Gracias was a nice town, very chilled out & quite colonial...nice cobbled streets (that were very slippery when wet !) & lots of restaurants that closed very early ! Hence we ended up in this small mexican place 2 nights running.....nice food but definitely a "guys" sort of place !!! We both got chatted up by 2 men.....one of whom had a gun stuffed down the front of his trousers !! (& I thought he was only pleased to see me !!!). It actually ended up being an entertaining evening as we pretended we were married & they were probably pretending they weren´t !!!!! They weren´t hassling us though which was nice & they were quite  sweet really.....we did laugh lots !! Apparently my eyes were like "diamonds"!!! What a great chat up line....the British men have got a lot to learn from these guys  !!!

On the second day there, we decided to go & visit the "Agua Termales" (hot springs) which were 4km outside of town. A lovely walk there & a very relaxing (& warm!) afternoon....met a very friendly Honduran family & Lissa & I spent a lot of time with the 2 daughters (6 years & 15 years old) practicing our Español ! We also met an English guy & his American friend, who then offered us a lift back into town.

A great couple of days.
