Arrived in Foz do Iguacu and checked into a nice hostel with a pool, which was great as the weather was superb.

After one day by the pool sipping Caipirhinas, we got off our lazy butts and headed to the Argentinean side of Iguacu Falls which are only rivaled by Victoria Falls as the biggest in the world...and apparently they both put Niagra falls to shame.

Arrived around 1pm after catching four different buses and crossing the border into Argentina.  Have to say the falls themselves are one of the more impressive things we have seen on our trip.  Not just one fall but a series of giant waterfalls, even the smaller ones would fill an olympic size swimming pool in a second.

We wandered around all to the different view points and then shelled out to take a speedboat ride up to the falls.  This is what makes the Argentinean side so much fun, they fly around let you take some photos then you put everything into a wet sack and they take you into the falls!  It was hilarious fun I couldn't stop laughing and as it was a stinking hot day getting completely drenched wasn't a problem in fact it was great.

Next day we went to the Brazilian side of the falls.  The facilities on this side were much better and it was easier to get from one part of the park to another, also had the added bonus of only taking around two hours to go to all the viewing platforms and back to the start (Argentinean side was far longer).

The views from the Brazilian side were great and we couldn't really say which side was better, Argentina got you closer to the falls and you viewed them from lower down so could better appreciate how immense they actually are but the Brazilian side also had a walk way that put you right in front and almost inside the devils throat which is the biggest and most impressive waterfall.  As usual I don't really have the words to do the falls justice but trust me when I say they are amazing.

That night was Carnival night at the hostel which from what I could work out was just an excuse to get roaringly drunk...which we did.  Spent our final day by the pool and then caught a bus to Sao Paulo to catch our flight to Salvador.
