We took a day trip to Amersfoort from Woudenberg by bus. It took about half an hour. Amersfoort is a beautiful old dutch town. It has a lovely shopping centre and very interesting museums. We went to the Flehite Museum. It contains the history of Amersfoort as well as some beautiful local art. After that we went to a brewery - Drie Ringen. Very tiny but very interesting. We tried some of their beer and watched while they cleaned out one of the vats. There was a wonderful smell of hops and yeast. If you ever have time I would recommend Amersfoort for a visit.

An interesting point about Amersfoort is the pedestrian crossing lightings. Instead if little red and green men, there are little red and green girls, with a pony tail. That was really funny to see for the first time.
