Another great day of sleeping late. If it was not for the howling dogs, we would have slept even later. The cabin where we are staying is beautiful and views are fabulous. We toured the sled dog pen that was right next to our cabin. They are lean, sweet, very loving dogs; but, boy, can they howl. We did another 3 mile hike in the park. A lot of the trees have these bumps, called burls, which look like tumors.  They say it is the acidity in the soil, like arsenic.  Susan and Gladys went shopping afterwards and Deb and Michele went for a little longer hike. We had a very tasty dinner at Creekside Café – Halibut is fabulous and plentiful. All in all it was a lowkey very enjoyable day. Now, all we need to do is see Mt. McKinley.

Do these trees have mumps?
