My first night in Munich I went on a pub crawl with the guys in my room (5 of them ALL from California..... very fun though). We went to Irish Pubs which seemed a bit odd in the beer capital of the world, but still a good time, also shisha bars, and other student clubs in the university district. The next day we headed off in the morning and did a cheap guided tour to Dachau, the first concentration camp. It was so sad to see the conditions and the museum, the crematorium and the gas chamber are still there for you to walk through and our guide was a wealth of knowledge and really made the tour interesting by telling stories from survivors journals and other such details.

The next day three tiny Korean (one now living in Canada so she translated) girls and I headed off to Fussen to see Ludwigs fairytale castle. It was So gorgeous and really looks fantasylike. It was bloody cold however and we had hours to kill til our entrance time so the Canadian and I rented a rowboat and I taught her how to row, however we got caught in the rain so were freezing the rest of the day. After coming back to the city we went to the Augistiner Beer Hall and it was SO much fun, lots of drunk germans drinking enormous tasty beer eating strange meat products, it was a BLAST! Day 3 I finally made it into the city and did a free tour with a bunch of people from the hostel, great fun, our guide was hysterical and they just work on tips so he did a great job of showing us the city, after that it was off to the beer hall again then another pub before crawling into bed!

Today I am going to the Deutches museum which is apparently a great technology museum!!
