We weren't here for very long - it was our first stop and our last. We stayed in a really nice 5 star hotel which was great. Every tour you book for Egypt will be most of the time, a 5 star resort.

Of course as expected, the Great Pyramids of Giza were amazing. The sphinx was also unbelievable, but it looks just as it does on all the postcards. We had lunch at an Egyptian restaurant which had the most amazing view .. you'll see in the pic's. I'm pretty sure I've been no-where else in the world with this kind of view.

On our return, we stopped back in Cairo and visited the museum - we had the opportunity to see mummies and nothing else beats that, in fact I think this was the real highlight for me.

We also visited the Mosque of Muhammad Ali at the Citadel. It was built between 1828 and 1848 and was truly magnificent. We needed to cover up - hence the green robes you see us wearing.

Cairo is pretty full on - lots of haggling at the Bazaar (the street markets)! In fact one Egyptian man told me he would kill his wife for me! They do love their women there!
