Nuremberg

Now this is one city we went to that I really remember form this age.  We had some friends that lived in Nuremberg, Germany and so we drove there (a good 4-5 hour drive)to stay with them for a few days.  Their son was one of my good friends and his mom was Canadian so it was nice being able to speak English a litte.  I just remember walking through the city and a lot of the old architechture and also very subtle reminders of WWII.  It was very different from anywhere I'd been up to that point just because the name carries weight...any town that has a reputation of sorts...has it for a reason.  There was also a large U.S. troop presence in that city for some reason...not sure if Rammstein AFB is close to there, but I got to speak a little more English and talk about some American things, plus I was still a young kid and soldiers are the coolest thing in the world.  But after a few days of relaxing and checking out some sights we headed back to Switzerland.
