Guiness, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and a lil green leprechaun

Our trip to Ireland started out terribly. We missed the only shuttle to Hahn airport by 1 minute, honestly, we saw it pulling away while we were still on the city bus. So, instead we ended up taking a taxi. Absolutely ridiculous, but we were determined not to pass up the entire weekend. We got there in under an hour and a half going 170 Kilometers per hour! Haha...Autobahn baby...that's right! Anyway, our flight left at 10PM that evening and we arrived in Dublin, with the time change (one hour earlier) around 11:30PM. By the time we found our hostel we were exhausted and passed out, despite the nasty smell of our room (we eventually decided that it was this guy's towel that probably had not been washed in weeks...so so gross!). We woke up at a reasonable time on Wednesday morning to have complementary breakfast from the hostel which was bread, butter, and jelly...oh joy! Anyway, our first little photo op was outside of a local pub with nearly 50 Guiness kegs sat, all empty, but rather funny nonetheless! We then took a walking tour through the city stopping and Christ Church Cathedral as well as St. Patricks Cathedral, which included a beautiful adjoining park. Around noon we made it took the Guiness Storehouse. Our first stop there was the Gravity Bar where we received our complimentary beer. Afterward, we toured the storehouse, gaining a greater knowledge of how Guiness beer is created. Surprisingly interesting! The rest of the afternoon we spent walking around the shopping center at St. Stephen's Green. So pretty! That evening we went to a nearby pub called Quay's bar.

At this point I am skipping Thursday as it will be my next entry, to Friday. Friday, after spending Thursday in Galway we returned to Dublin and spent the day touring other areas of the city, including the Dublin castle, the Green at St. Stephens (like Central Park), and Quiznos! Haha! Friday night, as we did not want to miss our 6AM flight, and as one can never fully understand the bus systems, or public transportation in general, we spent the night at the airport. It was with this experience that I've concluded that I've become really good at passing out anywhere! At one point, like 4:30 or 5AM I woke up on the floor to bustling crowds and opening shops...yep I slept through it all!
