We arrived in Hitchin after a couple days on the road. We were

all ready for a break from the increasing number of hills and made

ourselves comfortable in a small park across the street from the local

farmers market. Due to our central location we pulled shifts,

Nate slept first, for a good 4 hours and Tony and I slept the morning

shift. We slept hard knowing there was someone watching for

anything unusual. The next morning we met some locals and ended

up hanging out in our little park all afternoon trading stories and

joking around. Again we slept hard, this time with an

interruption by the rain when, in record time, we set up the tent and

situated ourselves inside. The next morning we all had itchy feet

so we got back on our bikes and peddled north.
