Lots to do in Aswan...I'm keeping really busy! We've taken a boat ride on the Nile, visited a botannical garden island, rode a camel, and of course enjoyed the sun. Not to forget we took a horse and buggy ride down to the market at night to try bartering with the locals. At first I wasn't too sure about bartering - but after awhile it becomes a lot of fun and sometimes you are bickering over the difference of maybe a dollar...but it becomes kind of like a game and you want to see if you can actually get your asking price. It helped going with a few people too - that way you could gang up and pretend that you'd just seen the same item for half the price in a shop a couples stores away. Oh I had a big smirk on my face the whole time it was great. I figure if you can barter in Egypt you can barter anywhere (let's just say it was good practice for the grand bazaar in Turkey!)

How about a camel ride?
