Days 12, 13, 14 and 15 - Back and Home

Getting back to Washington D.C. yesterday was a challenge.  Traffic at rush hour is truly unbelievable.  We can not understand why anyone would actually want to drive in this traffic day in and day out.

After we got back - we took it easy and ate at a mall food court that was close to the hotel and went swimming.

Day 12 -

Today we went to the Museum of American History and the National Archives.  After all the traveling we wanted to relax in the evening so we watched Chronicles of Narnia in our room.

Day 13 -

Today we spent the entire day at the Air and Space Museum.  Ryan thought the museum was great.  We watched an IMAX film about fighter pilots.  Afterward we came back to the hotel and the girls went swimming.

Today we went to the Library of Congress, Supreme Court and the Museum of Natural History.  Diane really wanted to take home the Hope Diamond but the guards were not too keen on the idea.  After we left the museum, the girls rode the Smithsonian Carosuel.

After we returned to the hotel tonight we started the sad process of packing for the return trip home.  We were sure we had enough room in the suitcases for souvenirs.  Guess we were wrong.

Day 15 -

Time to go home.
