I call Exeter home...simply because it is the place I am living at the moment. I am not from here, and I am not even British, but I probably know Exeter's history better than most people that are.

Long story short.

I am not from Exeter, and I am not even British, but I probably know its history better than most people that are.

Visit the Cathedral, it will blow your socks off (unless you are European).

And (of course), the Cathedral Green, you can't miss it!

Don't forget the Quay, it is quaint and my favorite.

The Northenhay gardens are very nice in the summer....

If you like to shop, High Street is your best bet.

It might be worth visiting part of the Romans walls...

...and if that interested you, try the Medieval bridge too!

The little know, St Catherine's Almshouse was just redone, and quite nice!

The Guild Hall is pretty boring since the interesting bits are closed off, but try to sneak in if you can.

The city museum is free...

...but the undergrund tour you have to pay for!

Visit the rive Exe if you like to sit and read.

And, on the way, you can stop by some of the smaller but still interesting churches scattered throughout town.

Then, last, but not least, if you are just striking bad on the luck...there is always the University!
