There were a number of things I wanted to see in Oslo, but my flight was delayed, and it took me some time to find a hotel. Gone was one afternoon.  And I either had to leave fairly early the next morning or wait another whole day for the train to Bergen.

Dilemma. I opted for Oslo at mach speed.

Aside: I wanted to call this entry Oslo on Crack, except that it sounds too inappropriate.

Also, sort of implies that I was on crack, which is somewhat inaccurate. However, I did stay in a hotel in a rather seedy area. Very rare for Scandinavia. The receptionist assured me that she felt  perfectly safe walking around at night. But she did agree that it was interesting and odd how one side of the street was the staked out by the prostitutes, the other frequented by the addicts.  Hmm... somehow I think that, either way, my Mom doesn't want to hear which one I chose as being the safest option.
