Sunday was a homework day for Paul, so the rest of us headed out to Wicker Park. Apparently its not just a neighborhood, but there is actually a real park that is called Wicker Park. It wasn't as pretty as it might be during the summer or if there was snow on the ground. I made the group stop at the park after I saw some dancing bear statues. Of course this meant everyone had to take a picture mimicking the darling beasts. After the visit with the bears we headed out toward the main shoppinig areas. There were a lot of trendy retro stores with clothing, furniture and shoes. You could see Cait and Tirza's eyes glaze over. We only stopped at a book store though. "Myopic Books" was huge and had three stories of used books. The top story had a cozy reading room. I ended up buying Isabel Allende's "The Stories of Eva Luna". Its a book of Latin American style short stories. I recommend it. Dinner was eaten at a cute little Italian deli/restaraunt. Can't remember the name though. The next day Cait and Tirza returned to go shopping at those little trendy boutiques. Paul and I opted to meet them for lunch at Underdogg's. The pair had their first try of Chicago style hot dogs. I might be being blasphemous as I write this in Chicago, but I don't particularly like any kind of hot dog. Everyone else liked their meal though. It was a cute restaraunt and it was really cheap! $25 for 5 people. Cait and Tirza left for the airport this day. It was sad seeing the giggly ones go. :( I spent the rest of the day being a student with Paul. Nap in the library, then bus home.

PS The train stop at Wicker Park is really cute. I didn't have time to snap a picture, but it had an antique look to it with worn wood floors and beams.
