Nous arrivons a Paris!

Bonjours mon amis (hello friends),

Mary and I arrived at Charles De Gaulle airport at 7am after missing a night of sleep. Amazingly we found our hostel after figuring out the metro system. We had the rest of the day until 5pm to try to stay awake and roam around. We went to the 59th floor of Tour Montparnasse to take in our first view of Paris and all the big sights to orient ourselves. Exhausted, we made our way to Jardin du Luxembourg, a green oasis in the middle of an enormous and busy city. We hit our beds at 8pm and fell asleep to motor scooters on the street below.

Day 2 we took the metro to St. Michel Blvd and entered tourist-ville. We toured St. Chapelle -stained glass window pictures illustrating the entire Bible- amazing. We walked around and enjoyed the sights of the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc from outside. The Eiffel Tower at night was beautiful but we missed the chance to go up.
