Hanoi is a crazy town! You can't walk down the street without getting hassled for a ride or some restaurant and they chase down the street after you or follow you! Then there's the traffic- basically there are no driving rules, speed limits or road markings and the horns are used more frequently than the brakes! When you cross the road, you just have to walk slowly so that they all swerve around you! Ahh!
Saying that, we got up this morning and got on a motorbike, the driver and both of us on one bike. It is sooo hot and humid in Hanoi and we are like wilting flowers after about an hour. We are staying in the Old quarter in a hotel (very good find) with air con, breakfast and free internet! (3 pounds each huh).
Crazy town!

We went to the Temple of Literature and then went to a local cafe and had noodle soup otherwise known as Pho which the driver recommended. Then we went to the museum of ethnology where we learnt all about the different vietnamese tribes and their origins and all the different art and crafts.
We also went to see a water puppet show, which was interesting although we didn't understand a word of what was going on. But i guess we coulnd't have come to Vietnam without seeing a performance! The puppeteers were very talented though!

We booked a 3 day cruise in Halong Bay and then headed for some dinner...and then bed, ready for our early start.
