So if anyone has been looking closely, they may have noticed that there is a day missing from log here.  Well this is a seperate entry in itself really, but I think it works into this nicely.  After Valencia we really wanted to just do the south of France, check out Provence and then into the Cote d'Azur before hitting Italy.  The only thing is is that there was no way to get up to Aix in time by train, and if we did there was nowhere to stay after that, since everything was booked up.  So what we did was take a night bus up to Aix!  Not the funnest thing I have ever done but I got a bit of sleep on the way.  Shawn and Dan on the other hand didn't and really hated the whole trip, so that kind of sucked.  But we arrived, 12 hours after we left, at 8 in the morning and then made the conection from Avignon to Marsailles by train and then from Marsailles to Aix en Provence to round up 17ish hours of straight travel.  Just insane!  So we spent two nights in Aix which I think everyone was pretty happy with.  The hotel that we stayed in was alright, we each got our own bed it had AC and it was alright for decor.  The thing that really got us was that the staff were the usuall french stubborn, anti-tourist but working at a hotel people.  Other then them it was a good night in Aix, especially after that long trip up.  The next day we had a solid walk around town and I think saw everything you could see there.  The problem with Aix is that you really need more money to spend there since the night scene is a bit more pricey.  So we spent our time in Aix and enjoyed it, but I don't think we could have spent another full day there.
