Stranded!

'A three hour tour, a three hour tour...

Yes, we took a ferry to Symi Island, a very picturesque little island right off the coast of Turkey yesterday. We were supposed to catch the same ferry back to Rhodes yesterday afternoon. Instead our plans were changed by forces beyond our control. It didn't have anything to do with the war, thank goodness. It had to do with the wind! Now we may be here for three days. We had to cancel tomorrow's reservations to Athens. Instead we will be able to enjoy the local Independence Day celebrations!

We are staying in an ancient little village. The houses are all built in the Neo-Classical style. When we are back to our computer we will download the pictures and you can see for yourselves.

It is a magical place and we are already very happy to be stranded here. We will have to cut short our time in Athens, unfortunately, but, otherwise we are quite pleased with this turn of events. We will keep you posted!
