Christmas 2008. My first away from home.
It did not feel like Christmas. Not to me. I was in a merry, merry Christmas scene with enthusiasm and family and whatnot, but it was not my family and it just didn't feel right.
But everyone made me feel very welcome and I still managed a good haul of presents. I had to work Boxing Day at my xmas temp job at Currys which sucked but then Boxing night was a party at the Waltons which was a lot of fun playing dumb games and having a laugh.
It needs to be hot to be Christmas! This cold weather business is just not right for December!
I kind of feel like I didn't actually get a Christmas but I will be back home for 09 and all will be right with the world!
