Day 4: Acapulco
From One Year Tour in Acapulco, Mexico on Oct 12 '06
After a heavy night in Mexico city, the last thing we wanted to do was to get on a coach for 6 hours to Acapulco but after telling the whole hostel we were leaving (when pissed) we could hardly stay another night there. So we arrived in a cloudy and overcast Acapulco and made our way to our hostel. The taxi went right round the houses and when he headed up a dingy alley we got a bit worried, but it turned out to be our hostel. After a decent night´s sleep only interrupted by lightning and bloody heavy rain, the coastal paradise seemed to be losing its charm. The next day we got drenched but still managed to have a nice meal (with a few beers). After another day of awful weather: streets and swimming pools were flooded, we left for Zihautenejo up the pacific coast.
