Donnerstag kam Atsushi zu Besuch, weil er gerad 4 Tage in Folge frei hat.

Zusammen mit ihm sind wir dann am Freitag (14.11.2008) mit Irene nach Nagoya um fuer sie eine neue Kamera, und wie sich saeter reaustellte auch ein japanisches Handy zu besorgen. Da ich einen MP3 Player brauchte, traff sich das eigentlich ganz gut.

Wir sind also um halb drei vom Schulgebaeude los und haben einen Zug so gegen halb vier Richtung Nagoya genommen. Dauert nur eine halbe Stunde und man landet gleich gegenueber einer riesen Technikladens.

Und dann gings los. Erst haben wir Irene davon ueberzeugt, ohne Verkaeufer, dass die Canon besser waere als die Sony (fuer ihre Wuensche) und dann haben wir uns aufgemacht, ein Handy fuer sie zu suchen.

Tja, wer jetzt denk, dass das hier soeine flotte Sache ist wie daheim, weit, aber auch sehr sehr weit gefehlt...

Das Erklaeren der untersiedlichen Vertragsoptionen, Ausfuellen des Vertrages, usw. hatte schon ca. eine gute Stunde gedauert. Aber wer glaubt, dass man dann als stolzer Besitzer eines Handys das Geschaeft verlaesst, kennt Japan halt nicht...

Denn... Hier werden die Daten erst mal ueberprueft.

Wir sind also ohne neues Handy aus dem Laden raus um ein Restaurant zu suchen. Als wir gerad was passendes gefunden hatten klingelte aber Atsushis Telefon und uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass Irene ein Handyvertrag gewaehrt wuerde. Also gings mit leerem Magen zurueck ins Geschaeft und fuer weitere 20 Minuten wurden weitere Details erlaeutert bis Irene dann ENDLICH mit Handy in der Tasche gehen konnte!!

Wir sind dann noch Essen gegangen und anschliessend zurueck nach Okazaki.

Thursday Atsushi came to visit. He had 4 days of in a row.

Together with Irene and a swdish guy called Lars we went to Nagoya on friday as Irene had to buy a mobile phone and a new camera. And I wanted to buy an mp3-player.

At half past two we went towards the trainstation and took a train at around half past three to Nagoya. After just half an hour ride we arrived on Nagoya station directly across the BIG camera store.

Thats when it all started. First we convinced Irene that a Canon camera would suit her needs better then the Sony and after that we went to find a mobile for her.

Well, who thinks that this is a quick adventure just does not know Japan at all!

Explaining all different contract options (and they have thausands) and filling in form papers took already about an hour. But after that you still do not have a contract because they check your data first.

So we decided to find a restaurant and have dinner while waiting for they OK. And we had just found a nice location to eat as we recieved the phone call from the shop that Irene was granted a contract.

So we had to go back with empty stomages.

In the job it then took another 20 minutes till Irene was allowed to finally take the choosen phone and call it hers! Buying the camera took only five minutes and we left the shop to eat dinner.

After that we all just wanted to get back to Okazaki.
