MGM STUDIOS On the Wednesday we visited MGM Studios. It was really really hot and we were glad of some shade in some places! There was loads to do at MGM and we saw some great shows.
We went on the backlot tour that took you around the filming studio at MGM. We saw props that were used in Pearl Harbour, Herbie, Chronicles of Narnia and lots of other disney films. We saw the manufacturing plant of where all the Disney costumes are made and all the uniforms for Disney staff. The Disney kingdom is a massive empire and the MGM studios' tours and entertainment really emphasizes this point. We watched the new show called Cars, Camera, Action (imported from Paris Disneyland) which was an amzing stunt show. They used Vauxhall Corsas (not my one though!!) and they filmed the stunts throughout the show and then replayed the action. Very well done. We also went on slow moving boat ride that took you through the most famous films ever and this was very well done, with very lifelike models of John Wayne, dorothy from wizard of oz, darth vader, Clint Eastwood e.t.c.......... We also went on the Tower of Terror, a new ride, where a haunted lift goes out of control, very well done but i think my stomach is still there!!
BRILLIANT!!

EPCOT We visited EPCOT on the Thursday, another boiling hot day, and it was not how i remembered it all those years ago! There was a new ride called Soarin, which simulated a flight that took you across the world to San Francisco. It was AMAZING, it was like you were paragliding and you could smell the oranges as we flew across the orange trees and pine as we flew across the forests. It was very well done and we all loved it. We also went on the race trak which was also very good. We were like test dummies in a race car which took you through all different car test - heat, light, rocky roads, cold temps and then just as you think you are going to crash the doors open and you speeding round an outside race trak, it was excellent!! We walked around the world showcase, stopping at Paris, Canada, England, Italy, America, Norway, Japan, China and Africa. There was the Eiffel Tower, St Marks Square, Venice, The White House and other well known landmarks of the mentioned countries. This was all set around a big lake. Ahhhhhh!

We returned back to Epcot for the Showcase of Countires firework bonanza. Words cannot describe how brilliant the show was. I cried at the end of them (sad i know!!) but it was all done to music and there was a big globe that moved into the centre of the lake and projected images onto different parts of the world. BRILLIANT!!
