We flew to Darwin from Cairns to spend a few days there before heading to Bali. Originally we were going as we needed to spend a few hours as a stop over at the airport but arranged to fly out a few days later instead. The thinking being, "we might as well see it as we are there". However we met a couple in Wellington New Zealand who were in our dorm, Krista and Carl and they invited us to stay at Kristas house. Being the cheeky backpackers we took them up on the offer lol. When we landed Krista was there to pick us up from the airport and showed us around her town straight away. After we picked up Carl from work and headed back to their house where we got stuck in to a crate of lager Carl had bought.

The next morning I awoke with the hangover from hell. Krista had given us her sisters room to stay in and it had been all prepared for us she had also left us the keys to her car to use as she and Carl were working. As well as all this a detailed map of where stuff in town was and the places of interest were was waiting for us with the car keys, they were the best hosts ever!!!!.

During the next few days me Jacko and Mal explored the town in the car and saw the sights. The last night we all went out for dinner. We went to a restaurant on the wharf where we dug into a gorgeous all you can eat buffet, with sea food asian food and steaks.

The next afternoon we were waved off by Kristas family and she gave us a lift to the airport. Bali here we come!!!
