Our first stop this week
From Western Caribbean Cruise in Key West, United States on Feb 03 '08

The boat docked at 7am, but we aren't really morning people, so we missed the first couple of hours on the island. When we did finally roll off the ship, we walked around a bit then took the "conch train" around the island. We got to see the different architecture that is native to this area, such at the "eye brow" houses and all the roofs are metal to ward off fires. The southern most point of the United States is here and mile marker "0" for route 1 is also here. The train does not stop at these locations, but nothing is too far from the downtown area if you have more time. Jimmy Buffet's original Margaritaville is also here, and there is a real Caribbean flare with the wild and protected chickens and roosters running everywhere. There is a big art population and numerous galleries to wander through. We had to be back on board at 3pm, so it didn't leave much to time do anything else.
