As usual for us it was a bit of a mad dash to make our onward travel so we were cutting it very fine heading from Sabang Beach back to Manila to catch our flights to Kalibu, which would leave us a mere cyclo and ferry journey from Boracay. After a full days travelling we finally arrived at Station 2 (there are 3 in total) on Boracays famous White Beach. As we arrived after sunset we couldn't fully appreciate what lay ahead but it was there the next morning in all its glory for us to see. Stretched before us was pure white sand & crystal clear water - as far as the eye could see. So off I ran & purchased a lilo & sailed off into the sunset for the day :)

I wish I could write about all the adventurous things I got up to in Boracay but my time was spent on the beach, going from bar to bar to drink San Mig lights & sleeping! Every night we ate at one of the many BBQ buffets on offer on the beach. Another good place to check out if ever in town is Crepe St Michel - their crepes are to die for!

We found some class establishments that we frequented each night - mainly Nigi Nigi Nu Noo's where the friendly barmen Ervin, Luis & Rey always had a kind word & a free drink or two for us, Bom Bom bar located right on the beach where locals came to 'jam' and showcase their talents every night, Summer Place which also had regular people in jamming & last but not least Coco Mangos for some late night dancing - I also befriended some local working girls here so as not to disappoint the guys!

Unfortunately I didn't get in any diving in Boracay as I ended up with a nasty infection in my big toe which was a result of a fall I had in Sabang Hill resort. How did I fall? Let's just say I was dazzled by a rather fetching sight in the distance! I paid a visit to Byshee clinic and was taken good care of by 26 year old doctor Byshee and her mother. They were super friendly and gave me a gift of a sea shell necklace before I left which I thought was really sweet.

Our time in Boracay coincided with Steve's 27th birthday celebrations so the guys at Nigi Nigi's helped us get the night off to a good start! The night ended with Steve taking on Summer Places 'sex shooters' challenge which meant Steve had to down 6 shots using only his mouth and for completing the task he is now the proud owner of a sex shooters t shirt and his name is etched permanently on a name card on the wall under Ireland - what an honour!

e made good friends with a guy called Armand who is a regular on the jamming scene during our time in Boracay and is currently working on his second album. We listened to him play most nights at Bom Bom & Summer Place. On our last night he invited us to his dad's resort at the end of the beach where we ate, drank & watched the sunset while he serenaded us with the aid of the piano singing such songs as With or Without You, Zombie and his own tune which I think is fair to say is our Boracay anthem, Bora Bora Boracay!

So after a week in Boracay it was time for us all to go our seperate ways and what a great two weeks it has been. With Dave & Niall off to Malaysia & Steve off to Singapore, I am going solo yet again....it almost feels like I had just left home all over again! So it's off to Kalibu airport yet again to catch a flight to Cebu - next stop, Panglao Island!
