CHINA – The summary

Well we spent about 10 days in China and what an experience.

There are some amazing things to see in this place with history oozing out of every where.

Things like the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors and the Grand Canal were just incredible!

Some of the different highlights/experiences we had were things like,

Food: What a diverse range of explosions that can occur in your mouth, from the chilly that just about burned me a new one, to the duck brains that made me feel good for trying something but terrible for the taste. There were also other great food experiences, the BBQ in Xiamen, the Dumplings in Xi’an….Other foods worth mentioning would be the scorpions and bugs in Xi’an. But the last highlight on the food front would be the noodles. Toni has found her heaven, No one ever dear say “what do we want to eat” cause I will know Toni’s answer.

Driving: The driving over here is …Ummm…..Well lets just say the Chinese are misunderstood drivers back home! They are aggressive, fast and dynamic. Oh I forgot to mention crazy, psychotic and horrid, I really thought I was going to be pushing up daisies on a number of occasions.

Spitting: Boy do the Chinese love to hoick, it’s not pretty either especially when you get an attractive young 20 something, dressed up looking good and then HHHHOooooooooiiickkkk! ……Yuk!

DVD’s, Watches, T-shirts: There are so many street peddlers trying to push these items onto you, and with there pigeon English, it really makes it a treat trying to get rid of them. At one stage in Shanghai we had three trying to sell us stuff at once. Brilliant.

All in all, what a brilliant and amazing place, the guide Michelle was just brilliant and the people on a whole were very nice and the country has so many different options of traveling and holidaying that you could never go wrong. From the hustle and bustle of Shanghai to the golden beach of Xiamen this place is amazing.

I would recommend it to everyone!
