Hi everyone!  Melissa and I had a busy day yesterday.  We woke up and headed in the direction of the Charles Bridge.  We stopped in a small bookstore and I found the Harry Potter book I was looking for.  Very happy about that.  On our way to the bridge we stumbled across the Cafe Louvre.  We stopped and split an apple strudel and I got a cocoa to go with it as well.  It was delicious!  I think we are going to get an apple strudel from breakfast Wednesday morning as well.  After we left there we headed towards Charles Bridge.  We were walking and then had this amazing view of Prague by over river.  So we stopped and took some pictures.  We walked across Charles Bridge and stopped at a few souvenior shops.

After that we headed in the direction of Prague Castle.  It started to rain so we stopped at a restaurant along the way.  We ended up splitting a mushroom, spinach and chicken pizza that was very good!  But the best thing we tried was their goulash soup.  It was served in a bread bowl and was delicious!  After filling ourselves at lunch we continued on our way to the castle.  We got there right in time for the changing of the guard. I took some more pictures.  But right when we got to Prague Castle and saw the St. Vitus Cathedral my camera battery died.  Although I am impressed that it lasted this long without me having to change it or charge it.  (Side note: I forgot to take my extra battery with me...oops!).  It was a good thing Melissa was with me because now I will just have to steal pictures from her.  We walked through another portion of the actual castle that was not that exciting...at all.

Next we headed over to the Jewish Cemetary and peered in through the gate.  You have to pay to actually go in there.  We headed over to Old Town Square next and took pictures there.  Well, again Melissa did.  I got to see the Astronomical Clock there and then we bought some ice cream.  Mine was chocolate chip, but it really wasn't all that great.  We walked over to Tesco a big grocery store that is in London.  Unfortunately, this Tesco did not have my string cheese that I liked so well.  We picked up some pasta and mozzerella to make dinner for ourselves.  It was good.

We decidedto go to a jazz club because jazz is supposed to be really big in Prague.  We chose the jazz club that we had passed earlier in the day and knew how to get to.  I had a fun time, never have really listened to jazz before but it was pretty good.

Overall it was a really great day!
