This morning our wake up call was supposed to come at 5am for our 6am departure from London. However, at 5:50 Dessy knocks on Mary and I's door as we are the only two not to get a wake up call. We packed ridiculously fast and made the bus in time, but we were not looking our finest to say the least...

We got on the bus and headed to Dover where we would be getting a ferry to France and eventually end up in Paris that night. When we got to the Dover shores I was mesmerized by the white cliffs extending in both directions. I live right by the Calvert Cliffs at home, but these just looked pristine and untouched (at least from a distance).

Headed to the City of Lights!!

We all headed onto the ferry which only took a little over an hour. It served food and had a duty free shop, so the time was well spent. We all got really excited as France came into view! The beach still had bunkers from World War II which was crazy to see, and they were WAY bigger than I had ever expected. I have a picture around here somewhere of a person walking on the beach anext to the bunker so you can really see the size...

Overall, the ferry was fun, a bit early, but who cares when we are headed to the City of Lights???
