I assembled my will power and my gear and managed to start out by 9.30. I have found that every road here has 2 or 3 names. They have a county road number, a name often indicating which town it will lead you to, and when it goes through town it has a new one. I walked out of Kutztown on Kutztown Rd and when it changed to hwy 222 and then business 222 and back to Kutztown rd.
On the whole a very good day. I went slowly on my ankle without too much pain. I broke my eating-at-local-joints rule at a gas station Subway. I even went into Walmart (call the cops) to put the pictures from my camera onto a disk. Walking through Temple and Laureldale was the best; a dad playing catch with his son, little flower boxes and families playing at the park. Cute cute. I was beat and sore. Ankle still very weak. I got a room opposite the laundry (much needed).
