After a long winter of saving and restraining ourselves from the lures of London life  the time had come to sign off on our UK experience. Having endured the darkness for months the blossoms and blue skies signified all that was good about London and the sadness of leaving set in. On the bright side, the next three months would be fancy free with no work and amazing adventures planned. After meeting my friend Jimmy at Liverpool Street we boarded the Stansted Express to pick up our RyanAir special to Strasbourg. All sporting spiffing new packs we were in good spirits and by 10pm we had reached Entzheim Airport on the outskirts of Strasbourg. In barely adequate French we had directed our driver to the Hotel Kyriad in Lingholsheim a mere two kilometres away. It was soon evident that this wasn't the case even though the lights of the airport were always in view. Twenty euros later we found the hotel and feeling a tad shafted we parted with the valuable currency convinced we wouldn't be scammed like this for the rest of the journey. We bunked up in what would be one of our last little bits of luxury enjoying the feeling of linen, mattresses and TV for the next little time being.
