We drove up the coast to Byron Bay.  Every so often we could see absolutely awesome waves breaking just off the road- best waves I have ever seen in my life.  We couldnbt just jump off unfortunately though! We got to Byron Bay that evening and went for an evening surf at another pointbreak a little walk away! Again there were perfect peeling waves that lasted forever, just like what I had surfed this morning- only here there were about a hundred surfers in the water! I have never seen so many people trying to surf one wave! It was good anyway- a beautiful sunset over the mountains in the background, really chilled out.  The next few days we spent on the beach surfing a break called the wreck which was quite good- surf started getting a bit smaller though.  Weather here has been absolutely perfect- not a cloud in the sky and hot!  We had a few really good nights out at the local bar across the road too. Yesterday we cycled up to the lighthouse on Cape Byron and went to the most easterly point in Ausralia which was good, and spent the afternoon looking around some of the surf shops.  We are off to Surfers Paradise in a minute which should be a good party!
