I met Alison at the travel place by her home stay to book the trip to Munnar.  It was 1200 Rs (approx $30.77) split between the room and the taxi.  The transportation was actually quite a bit cheaper than what had been quoted to me previously, so that was good.

Once all sorted out, we headed over to Solar Cafe which was near to the jetty for Alison to take the boat to Ernakalum that she wanted to check out for the day.  We had a good breakfast of french toast with good homemade bread and Alison also ordered a fruit plate that was massive with a ton of fruit on it, all just for 50 Rs (approx $1.28).  I also had a banana lassi (bananas and yoghurt drink), a favorite of mine, up there with the fruit smoothies I had in Thailand.  Not so refreshing, but definitely tasty.

After breakfast, Alison went on her way and I headed to the nearest internet place to book my flight to Delhi and to catch up on my blog, which I desperately needed to do.  After a couple of hours, I took a break and headed for some tea back at The Teapot.  I had really wanted something savory, but it wasn't meant to be, so I had to have another death by chocolate ;)

Back to the internet where at 7pm the lights went out and the generator came on, only for the computers and a few lights, not for the fans so it definitely got a bit hot.  As I learnt, there were blackouts every night at 7pm for half an hour.

Enough blogging for one day, I headed back to the Italian restaurant, Upstairs, for some pizza as I was still trying to avoid meat. I had been seated at a four top as that was all that was available, but shortly the owner came over and asked if I wouldn't mind sharing with a couple, which of course I didn't.

The couple Erin and Philip were really nice and were from Sydney Australia.  They had been in Hyderabad for about 10 days doing mission work.  Unfortunately, they had both been sick quite a bit, with Philip going into quite a bit detail, which only heightened my fear of getting sick myself.  Once all the sick talk was over, we had a pleasant chat while we ate dinner ;)
