Sam and Steph has visited no places in Savusavu

After being hunted down on the island of Taveuni by the ex-headhunter Navi (headman) we jumped on the ferry to Savusavu. Two hours by bus from south Taveuni, 2.5 hour ferry ride, and a 2.5 hour bus ride and zip bam bang boom we're in Savusavu. Nice little yachtie town on the bay. I'm getting over the death sweats and now Steph's turn to do battle......I think she is winning. We finally got to do a snorkel today, just us!!! It was a place called Split Rock AWESOME!!! about 50 meters from shore in about 30 feet of water a column of coral about 15 ft in diameter came straight up from the bottom to about a foot from the surface....just amazing. Due to Steph's congestion we put our dive off til tomorrow, so with the snorkel today I'm sure we both are ready for a Fiji dive ...... it's only been a week;)

Booked a ticket today on a ferry leaving here Monday for Lautoka, so we should be pretty much guaranteed a boat will be here to give us a ride.....??????

Up for debate but probably to the Yasawa's or Mamanuca's from there.

Hey Guys, Glad you are feeling better Sam. Sorry Steph is coming down with it. Would love to hear about your dive while you are in that area of Fiji. Waya island in the Yasawas would be like going home for Steph. She can limbo and win wine for you. Could be wrong but I think the Mamanucas were West of the Yasawas and perhaps a bit more developed but it has been too many years. Be safe and enjoy. Dave

Hi guys, I hope I got this posting thing figured out. I sent a message a few days ago but it never posted?? Our thoughts on Fiji: Even thought most of our time in Fiji has been spent on the water, we really liked Kandavu. If your in the area, check it out. Sorry you had such a layover on the 4th in LA. Next time I will come and pick you up and bring you back to the O.C. Can you ask the Fijians if you can drink Kava when pregnant? Cuz, I am :) Yes, due in March so I don't think we will be meeting up anytime soon, unless in California. Don't think we are traveling until about July 08. Good thing we did not know when we were in London with Mike.... Talk to ya soon. Helen (& Matt)
