Fraser Island and Steve Irwin Zoo!

Well landed in the famous Fraser Island last Friday and for those of you who dont know bout it , you and 11 other randomers bascially rent a geep and camping equipment, stock up on communal food and beer (lots) and bum around a sand island with the most amazing beaches, lakes, rain forest for 3 days..........for the more faint hearted there is now some lodges and hostels on the island but much better to do the real trip and camp out with the dingoes, cockroaches and meat eating ants!! our group was great , myself cath and shane, 4 from the Uk, and 4 italian lads who had no english but kept all us entertained singing messing in the geep all day long... great sights and great craic!

Weather turned bad on the last day so we headed for Noosa for one night and then onto Brisbane via the Steve Irwin Zoo which we actually visited on his 1 yr anniversary so there were lots of camera crews around so i may have even managed to get my ugly mug on aussie tv i think!  From there we headed to Brisbane......
