Riding in the Rain Oct 1, 2007.

I have said that all one needs to do when it rains is make a lot of quick turns and ride between the drops.

However, when it comes down at a rate that if one were driving a car, the high speed on the wipers would not be sufficient to clear the windshield it is a different story.  Also, if the rain doesn't catch you on the way down, it catches on the way up as it bounces off the highway.  My quick turns between the drops just doesn't work.

The rain is different from rain up north in that it is a warm rain and while I was thoroughly soaked, I was never cold.  Also, if it stops and sun comes out, it surprising how fast I was dry.

Considering all of the great days I have had, I was due for one of these days and it makes it interesting.
