We go every where by bus which takes ages, so after a 5 hour bus ride we arrived in Agra, the city with the Taj Mahal in it!! Having been on Indian road I will never complain about Britain again. Not only do 2 lane roads become 4, but some times they are rebuilding a bit and so it just has a barrier across and we have to swing into oncoming traffic and drive on!! The standard driving practice is a constant game of chicken.

Once we got here the Taj was our first place to visit that night, it is amazing. It was very crowded and once we had pushed through the hawkers, very annoying people trying to sell tat at every tourist place always thousands of the Bas****s :). We could see the Taj, it is huge the photos don't show it but the lake in front is a least 200m long. The Taj is also not the only building, it is in a complex of about three or four others all very impressive if not built out of marble.

The next day in the morning we went to a western style Mall, it was very strange it was like they had taken a piece of America and put it in Agra, it even had a MacyDs! But unlike home none of the shops were open until 11am and one shop even had a buy 3 get 7 free sale on!?!, I tried to resist but I did buy some clothes which I think I look very good in:). That afternoon we went to see the Red Fort, another famous monument that was well worth the visit but again without pictures it is a boring. We did see some monkeys though and they were very happy to have their photos taken, but our tour guide told us not to get to close as they can bit, probably for fun:).

After that we drove to the train station, which is so confusing, trying to find the platform was hard enough they trying to work out which of the 5 trains that stopped was ours was even worse. Our train turned up an hour late and I think I would still be sat there if it was not for our Indian tour guide. The train left at 21.15 and was an overnight train to a place called Varinassie, where I am writing this, it was really weird the train had bunks insets of four with a curtain at the end, we were given a set of sheets and a chain to lock the luggage to the floor and then try to get to sleep but it was rather difficult. it is 10am here and I'm felling sleep deprived so I think I'm of to bed for an hour then maybe go have a swim in the pool to cool down as it is atm 34C:) I hope you  all have a nice day.

Ed:)
