After spending 2 days together with Pat, we went our separate ways.  He continued on his Mayan Ruins tour to San Ignacio and I went on my own to Dangriga.

Dangriga is a pretty quiet, non-touristic town, filled with Garifuna people (black Carribeans that settled in Central America).  I spent most of the day just walking around town and exploring.  I had hoped to visit the Garifuna museum, but after walking for about 20 minutes through the rain to get there it ended up being closed.

In the evening I met a local man, Charly, who offered to take me to a local hangout.  It was entertaining to watch the locals joking around, drinking, playing dominoes and dancing.
