Paris is so enchanting from the beautiful streets, to the shopping, the art, the wine and of course the food. I was very good and only window shopped, though the temptation was everywhere. But food...we had to indulge and had some of the best food yet.
We arrived in Paris and checked into our hotel! Our own room with a bathroom....what a treat. We could unpack everything and just leave it lying around for a change.
We ended up in the Latin Quarter at the Long Hop English pub.

The first thing we did was head into the city to find a place to watch the Man Utd game. We ended up in the Latin Quarter at the Long Hop English pub. After we grabbed a bite and started sighting seeing as the sunset over the Seine. Notre Dame, Rue di Rivoli to the Louve. Champs-Elysèes, and the Arch di Triumph.
The next day started at Collette. A chic boutique/gallery at 213 rue Saint-Honorè. Hip fashion, books, jewelry and tech design. After we hit the Louve for about 5 hours. A drink was a must after that. Especially fighting the crowds to get a glimpse at the Mona Lisa. We indulged in a 10 euro pint and glass of wine at Cafe Mabillon near St. Germain. That evening we hiked up the stairs of Le Sacré Coeur and enjoyed the panoramic view of Paris. We ate dinner at a close by restaurant on Rue de Lepic called Au Virage Lepic. The meal started with onion soup, and a salad warmed goat cheese on tomato, which was sweet. I believe honey was baked into it as well. Dave had steak with bernaise sauce and I had Skate fish baked with butter and capers. Wine and baguettes as well. So delicious!

The next day we go off to late start, so we grabbed some sandwichs at a local Boulangerie. Then we took the Metro out to the Parc de Princes were Paris St. Germain play. Later that evening we went for drinks at my friend Flavie´s house. After we caught up, she recommended an area near by for dinner. We ended up a great place, Hotel du Nord. Very trendy, and the food was spectacular. Dave had lamb and I had pork fillets wit ha tarragon butter sauce over black in pasta. Dessert was divine...I can´t put it into words.

The last day we visited the stade du France, were the French football team plays and were many of Rubgy World cup games will be held this month. We spent the rest the day window shopping around St. Germain until we boarded an over night train to Madrid. We had 2 baguette, a bottle of wine, and a few beers to pass the time on our 15 hour journey.
