How the trip went...

Days 1& 2: were basically getting there.

Day 3: We had a

panoramic city tour upper and lower parts of Belgium.  This was neat...

because then we could figure out the lay of the land and know where we

could go eat, shop, etc...

Day 4: Took a tour to Ghent, Belgium.  I

must say this city is really cool.  We went on a canal ride and a

walking tour of the city.  We were in this city on the weekend, so

there was a market going on.  We had some REALLY good pastries!  Unsure

of the name... tasted alot like banquette.

Day 5: Took a bus to Amsterdam to get on the ship.  10 nights by sea...

we traveled to a bunch of different cities through The Netherlands and

Belgium.

Day 6: We started the day in Schoonhoven Netherlands... had a walking

tour. also visited 19 working windmills.  This is the largest

concentration of windmills left.  Once we got back to the ship we left

to go to another city that day... Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Again we had

another tour of the city.  This night we had the captains welcome

dinner aboard the ship. We all get dressed up!  Once all the

entertainment was done aboard the ship... some of us cousins went out

into the city that night with some of the crew of the ship.  I must say

it was very interesting being out at a club on a Sunday night.  Not too

busy, but they had alot of night life areas.

Day 7: Arrived in Rotterdam the day before.  This is the home of

DELFT.  So we had a tour planned to go visit the factory where it is

all made.  (I remember this day it RAINED AND RAINED...)  Good thing we

were inside most of the time.  after we returned to the ship it was

still pretty early in the day...so we had a afternoon cruise of the

Rotterdam harbor with commentary.

Day 8: Spent the day in Bruge..."Medieval" city.  Another walking tour.

Canal ride. and time to spend in the city doing whatever.
