Arrived in Cordoba this afternoon, only to find our maps wernt quite as sufficient as we thought they were, and every second street in this town was one way, and the others didnt have a street name.  It took us about 2 hours to find our hostel, and we realised we probably coudlnt have driven to it anyway, it was in a tourist area of the city.

Once arriving, we were impressed to find that our accomadation was more hotel than hostel, and included aircon!

We headed out to the streets, and found that Cordoba was a really lovely town, with heaps to see, unfortunatley everything had a cover charge.

We spent the next two days seeing the Medina Azahara, which were some ancient ruins of a city built just outside of Cordoba by the Muslim leaders of the time.

We also went to see the Mezquita Cathedral, which is quite unusually a Cathedral built inside a Mosque.  The Moorish people (Muslims) built a grand Mosque and when the Christians arrived a couple of hundred years later, they took over the mosque and built their Cathedral inside, it is now quite a spectacular building.
