We enjoyed Bali for so many reasons.  It really was one of our favourite places we've visited, even despite the fact that the hawkers and transport drivers everywhere drove us crazy with their persistant asking us to buy something from them.  To illustrate how frustrating this was, picture this:  imagine walking along the sidewalk and having every fifth vehicle slow down beside you, honk at you and ask through their open window if, "You want transport?".  Combine with that the transport drivers who were just hanging out on the sidewalk asking you if you want transport.  They would even whistle at you from across a busy street and yell , "You want transport?".  There was one taxi driver in particular who really irked me.  He was stationed just outside of our guesthouse wall, so we had to walk past him everytime we left.  And everytime he would ask.  But he wasn't one to just accept a no for an answer.  He would ask, "What about tomorrow?".  After awhile, we started to ignore him.  And then what does he do?  When he sees that we're not responding to him, he says, "Parlez vous francais?".  Still silence from us, then, "Sprechen sie Deutch?".  He just wouldn't quit.

There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes close to our guesthouse. This one had a really good jazz concert that we took in.

But, as I've said, we definitely enjoyed our time.  These pictures show just a couple of reasons why.  Who couldn't like a place where they arrange your fruit salad in the shape of a flower???
