Well we have got to santiago after a terible plane ride, no service, no breackfast, the toilets overflowed and my headrest broke. But now that were here its going well, went out for dinner and drinks with a few POMs, which followed on to BOLNDIE (a pub that played 80s british pop music and screens of soft porn) after spending a messly 10US we got out of the pub worse for wear both induring jet lag and too much to drink.

Went to town on wednesdayto look at the buildings. however the most fun we had was doing meaneal tasks like going to the bank and the post office because its all pointing and gesturing we didnt understand them and they didnt understand us. starting to pick up a bit of spanish and they all speek a little english so we get there. ordering food is the most fun because no matter how long you look at the menu you still dont know what you are getting. For dinner last night we thought we were ordering beer but they put fanta in it, Yes, it is as good as it sounds.

Thursday we spent two hours in the bus exchange trying first to get to mendoza after passports were handed over we decided that it was too expensive for the three days (80US) in travel alone for a 14 hour return bus trip for three days...not my cup of tea so we changed it on the guy to have a bus trip to the beach after which we changed the time after deciding we wanted to go later in the day. we spent the rest of the day at ....hill. it was quite spectualar and you really took in how big santiago was however the smog kinda recked it all...if the cable car lines were as well looked after as the rest of the park we should have been lying the tree some 100m below...quite a scary ride
