Nicks Story.  Back in 1991, Bavs and I had an idea about running a soccer camp in Cambridge.  That first camp had 37 campers at Shady Hill school.  17 years later PLAY SOCCER works with 40,000 kids every year at various camps and clinics.  The great thing is seeing the spirit of PLAY SOCCER still shining through with the outstanding coaches, fun and educational curriculum and kids who continue to do 'kid things'.  I'm pretty sure that some of the parents of this years campers have been to our our camps in the past......wow, I'm getting old!

One of the new things this year is the PASS IT program where campers are asked to bring in old pencils and school supplies that PLAY SOCCER will send off to International townships.  Cambridge out did themselves by bringing in more than 600 pencils, pens and notebooks.  A great effort!

wow....17 years of PLAY SOCCER camps

It was a nostalgic week for me watching the camp (and joining in when I couldn't sit still).  Great job by the staff who represented all that is good about PLAY SOCCER and showed the same enthusiasm that we showed back in 1991.
